Silje wrote this song after visiting Malawi (meeting a little girl there called Theresa) in May 2005 being an ambassador for a project that is building a new village there for SOS Children's Villages; they met again in Malawi in 2008, Silje than escorted by her daughter Erle who is at the same age as Theresa; all income from the song goes to this project
