Silje's room at the Ladies Floor
In May 2006 the Oslo Grand Hotel opened the Ladies Floor. The hotel asked 13 famous Norwegian ladies to create a room in in a way they liked, with help of an Oslo design team. A complete floor now is available especially fitted up for womens desires by the ideas of:
- Suzann Pettersen, golf-pro (room 580)
- Ane Dahl Torp, film actress (room 582)
- Iram Haq, screenwriter, director and actress (room 577)
- Maria Bonnevie, film actress (room 574)
- Margreth Olin, screenwriter and film director (room 570)
- Inger Ellen Nicolaisen, successful business entrepreneur (room 579)
- Kari Traa, Olympic gold winning freestyle skier (room 572)
- Åsne Seierstad, journalist and international best-selling author (room 571)
- Bertine Zetlitz, singer-songwriter (room 576)
- Cecilie Juvodden, fashion designer (room 578)
- Mari Boine, musician (room 575)
- Silje Nergaard, jazz singer-songwriter (room 584)
- Kristin Rivelsrud, businesswoman and hotelier (room 573)
Silje created room 584 in this Grand Hotel. Being a creative artist herself, she had specific ideas about the way it should be. The hotel is very successful with the Ladies Floor. In 2008 Silje's room and Inger Ellen Nicolaisen's room are visited most.
