Silje's appearances
the year 2007 - October 18.
On October 18th. Silje did her fifth concert in the Netherlands this year. She was at a stage called Tiivoli in Utrecht, in the middle of the Netherlands. Her Band was in the new formation with Helge Lien on keys, Børge Petersen-Øverleir on guitar (he took over from Bjørn Charles Dreyer), Finn Guttormsen on bass/dobro and Torstein Lofthus on drums (instead of Jarle Vespestad).
The audience was mixed in age, as often a lot of young people were amoung the listeners. It was a full house, listening to Silje and her Band almost for two hours, including the three extras. During the concert Silje remembered she was in Utrecht once before, somewhere in the mid-eighties. She then visited a boyfriend from the Netherlands -his name was Melchior- she had met when he was riding on his bicycle in Norway.
In a new - still untitled - song Silje played on a Finnish insturment, called a kantele. This summer Silje had heared a female musician with this instrument and she decided to buy one for herself. The new song was made in combination with this instrument especially and started with the sentence "Come On Sunshine On Me". At the end of this song Helge did a magnificent solo ending in the next song, Le Me Be Troubled.
