Silje Nergaard sings in Dyreparken
With guest artist Heine Totland, alias Judas in Fjæreheia
Nordiske Sommernetter (Nordic Summer Nights) arranges a concert with the artist Silje Nergaard on Sunday 5 August in Dyreparken.
Silje comes to Dyreparken together with her regular band plus the vocalist Heine Totland and the multi-instrumentalist Magnus Lindgren. Together they will perform a special version of the concert Silje and her band have toured with in more than 20 countries since the release of the CD "Port of Call".
Since her debut in 1982, Silje has been considered one of our great jazz talents. Today she is a mature artist with a series of record releases behind her. Although it is jazz that has been closest to her heart, she is experimental in her relationship with music and art in general and she enjoys herself in the borderland between different genres.
As mentioned, Silje has guest artists with her, and among these we find her husband Heine Totland, who this summer has played the role of Judas in the Fjæreheia production of "Jesus Christ Superstar".
Silje's concert is part of the events of Nordiske Sommernetter, which this year has had three events. Besides Ivar Bøksle's concert at the end of June, and now Silje's concert, the summer series ends with a chamber concert in Kristiansand and Grimstad the following week. Here there will be a meeting with the Oslo String Quartet, Aage Kvalbein, Tor Espen Aspaas and Andreas Sønning.
Concert. Nordiske Sommernetter invites to a concert with Silje Nergaard in Dyreparken on Sunday 5 August. And Silje brings her husband Heine Totland as a guest artist.
