By: Knut E. Bjørkmann The audience experienced a concert of very high musical quality. Not least Nils Einar Vinjor impressed. We understand why he is critically acclaimed for his guitar playing. Silje Nergaard has her own commercial style that is striking. She got in touch with the audience immediately and the duo was forced to perform two encores with a standing ovation. There can hardly be any doubt that she is one of the country's very best in her genre. ''I've experienced Silje Nergaard before, so I didn't have a moment's doubt: I had to go'', says Liv Kongtorp from Bjørkelangen, who tricked her husband, Hans Petter, with her. Liv admits that she is very happy with the music Silje presents. ''I have no special relationship with Silje's music, but I don't regret joining,'' says Hans Petter Kongtorp when the applause has subsided. ''When it comes to the festival in general, I think it's nice that you can choose to your heart's content. It is fun to experience some of the country's best artists in our district. With the success that the event seems to have, it can only be positive for the village,'' he concludes. Conveys play and fun Silje Nergaard and Nils Einar Vinjor travel a lot and often participate in smaller events. They address an adult audience that has retained its childish disposition. ''I like to convey play and fun with the music,'' explains Silje Nergaard, who is working on music for album number six. The intention is that it will be published next year. With a three-month-old daughter demanding her attention, she thinks it's nice to sit at home and compose new material. ''What do you think of local music festivals?'' ''I think it's inspiring for local performers. At the same time, it strengthens the community in the local community,'' answers Silje before she disappears into a waiting car.
