Silje visited a sold-out concert by Al Jarreau, one of her musical heroes. The 14-year-old Silje gave him a rose on stage.
In 2005 Jarreau visited Silje at her home, to record the duet "We Should Be Happier By Now", one of the tracks from the album 'Be Still My Heart - The Essential'.
